OKX Card is live in the US: 2% to 10% cashback, but read the tiers
BIG NEWS for the US! @okx just switched on the OKX Card, a Mastercard backed by your stablecoins, with no FX fees and no transaction fees. Cashback starts at 2%, capped at $50 a month on $2,500 of eligible spend. The 10% headline rate sits at the Infinite tier, which needs a $500K Pay balance, $100K of card spend in 30 days or VIP 4+. Cashback only counts on USDG purchases settled with Autopay, so USDC and USDT spend earns nothing. Strong launch, and @Mastercard is backing it publicly. ether.fi refunds bank deposit fees until 31 Dec for Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members
Free bank deposits on @ether_fi, if you're on one of the top tiers. Until 31 December, Luxe, Pinnacle and VIP members get their bank deposit fees refunded. That covers ACH, wire, SEPA, PIX, Faster Payments and more, with VIP covered up to $150,000 a month. Avici pays 20% back in SOL on subscriptions, capped at $15 for the first 100 users
Avici is running a Halloween treat: 20% back in SOL when you pay a subscription with an Avici card. The terms are tight though. It covers digital subscriptions like streaming, software, cloud storage, AI tools, gaming and news, on a Platinum or Signature card. Cashback is capped at $15 per user, and only the first 100 users to qualify get it, so the whole budget is $1,500. UK residents are out. October is a new all-time high for stablecoin card spend, says Paymentscan
October is already a new all-time high for stablecoin card spend, and the month isn't even over yet. Paymentscan shows $1.285B for October so far, up 4.4% on September's $1.231B. That makes it the 4th month in a row above $1 billion. Top spenders so far: RedotPay $397.5M, EtherFi $132.6M, KAST $113.6M, Wirex One $50.95M and Karta $49.92M. That's 30 months of consistent growth, and the last monthly dip was April 2024. RedotPay alone is close to a third of the total. Rain just powered a restaurant rewards card, and you never see the crypto. @blackbird introduced FlyCard, a Visa debit card issued by Cross River Bank. You earn Fly rewards at any restaurant, cafe, bar or delivery app that takes Visa, and it goes straight into Apple or Google Wallet. @raincards says you earn and spend the same onchain currency at any restaurant that accepts Visa. This is how stablecoin cards reach normal people: a brand they already use, with Rain doing the plumbing. The open question is what Fly rewards are worth per dollar spent.
