The claim vs. the reality

  • Up to 10% cashback claimed, 2% on the starter tier
  • Cashback is paid in points, not directly in USDC
  • The $10 airdrop requires a 100 USDT deposit plus card spend and must be claimed manually
  • 100% subscription cashback requires 500 USDT of monthly spend

The double fee

Bybit charges a 2% FX fee for spending outside USD/EUR and a 0.9% crypto conversion fee to turn your USDC into fiat. Their "Currency & Fee Breakdown" showed $1.50, but the ledger showed the actual USDC charge was $1.5237.

  • Initial balance: $10.00
  • Actual USDC deducted: 1.5237
  • Final balance: $8.47
  • Baseline market cost: $1.48
  • Hidden spread (gross): 2.53%, matching 2% FX + ~0.9% conversion

The verdict

Bybit's fee structure is heavy: a 2% regional FX fee plus 0.9% conversion pushes gross markup close to 3%. The 2% cashback brings net cost back to $1.49 (~0.76% above market), but rewards are paid in points rather than instant stablecoins. The 100%-off subscriptions are a heavy incentive.

Score: 7 out of 10

Strengths

  • High limits
  • Airdrop potential
  • 100% subscription cashback at higher spend

Weaknesses

  • Double fee structure
  • Rewards paid in points, not stablecoins

Who ranks these cards

I'm Tristyn Pawson, founder of ConsistenC.xyz. Over the last five years I've worked on marketing, development and growth across five crypto cards and neobanks, building at least three of them from scratch.

Alongside that I've run in-depth research on 20+ crypto banks to understand what actually makes someone keep a card in their wallet. These rankings reflect that: which problems are tolerable, and which ones are genuine deal breakers.
