KAST on the no-token call: over $10M in USD cashback paid since April
KAST just answered the KPU backlash.
@raagulanpathy, who's building @KASTxyz, posted on 4 Nov that the KPU email has gone out and that product usage didn't change. He says customer AUM kept growing strongly over the last three days.
His numbers: over $10M in USD cashback given since April, when KAST switched from points and tokens to mostly cash. He also says KAST Business is growing nearly 100% month on month, from a small base.
On the token: "No token, means no easy liquidity for the team or investors." He says he has never sold and that he bought shares from earlier investors this year.
What hasn't changed: KAST's own page still says Points earning ends on 30 November, KPUs can't be sold or transferred, and there's no cash-out date yet.
Paying cashback in cash over points is the right call for card users. Points holders will want more than a promise though 👀
