Rain launches Agentic Payments Alliance with Visa, Mastercard, Circle

Rain (Visa and Mastercard Principal Member) announced the Agentic Payments Alliance on 18 Aug. Founding names in the PR: Visa, Mastercard, Fiserv, Circle, Solana, Remitly, Lithic, Fireblocks, Chainalysis, Uniswap Labs, Shift4, and others (25+). Charter is agent identity, authorization, fraud, loyalty. Rain cites its Agent Control Layer and Scoped Cards. Rain says it issues cards at 175M+ merchants in 200+ countries and is used by 100+ orgs. Alliance is a coalition, not a shipped product.
